Roulette Game Guide
Understand the wheel, recognise number groups and read a completed spin. A clear introduction to roulette with examples and answers to common questions.

What Is Roulette?
Roulette uses a spinning wheel and a ball. A completed spin produces a result when the ball settles into a numbered pocket. The table layout groups the numbers into different selection areas.
Start by identifying the wheel format. This guide covers common single-zero and double-zero layouts; check the actual game's rules for its pockets, available selections and settlement details.
Single-Zero and Double-Zero Wheels
European: Single Zero
A standard European wheel has 37 pockets: numbers 1 to 36 and one zero, written as 0.
American: Double Zero
A standard American wheel has 38 pockets: numbers 1 to 36, zero (0) and a separate double zero (00).
Numbers 1 to 36 are divided between red and black. Zero pockets are green. The table arranges numbers for selecting groups; its sequence is different from the order around the wheel.
Some variants add other pockets, multipliers or special rules. The Indslots game title alone does not confirm which variant is available, so inspect its wheel and instructions.
Common Roulette Selection Types
Inside selections cover individual numbers or small groups within the number grid. Outside selections cover larger groups shown around its edges.
| Selection | Numbers covered |
|---|---|
| Straight-up | One specific number. |
| Split | Two numbers sharing a boundary on the layout. |
| Street | One row of three numbers. |
| Corner | Four numbers meeting at a common corner. |
| Six line | Two adjoining rows, covering six numbers. |
| Dozen | 1–12, 13–24 or 25–36. |
| Column | One of the three columns of twelve numbers. |
| Red / Black | The eighteen red or eighteen black numbers. |
| Odd / Even | Odd or even numbers within 1–36. |
| Low / High | 1–18 or 19–36. |
These descriptions explain coverage. Available selections and payouts must be checked in the particular game, especially for special or multiplier variants.
How to Read a Roulette Round
1
Identify the Wheel
Look for 0, 00 or any additional pockets. Read the table labels before interpreting a result.
2
Follow the Round Status
Use the game's displayed status to distinguish preparation, the active spin and the completed round.
3
Read the Final Number
Wait for the recorded result. An animation frame showing the ball passing a pocket is not the completed outcome.
4
Check Its Groups
Use the final number to identify the corresponding colour, range and other table groups.
Understanding the Number Groups
The examples below show how to classify a number. They are illustrative, not live round results.
If the Number Is 14
Fourteen is even, belongs to the low range 1–18 and falls in the second dozen, 13–24. On a standard three-column layout, it is in the column containing 2, 5, 8 and 11.
If the Number Is 29
Twenty-nine is odd, belongs to the high range 19–36 and falls in the third dozen, 25–36. It also belongs to the column containing 2, 5, 8 and 11.
A dozen is a consecutive block of twelve numbers. A column takes every third number down the layout. That is why 14 and 29 can share a column while belonging to different dozens.
What Happens When Zero Appears?
For roulette table selections, 0 and 00 are outside red/black, odd/even, low/high, dozens and columns. Although zero is even in arithmetic, it is not included in roulette's Even selection.
Zero and double zero are also different pockets: selecting one does not automatically cover the other. Check the table's rules for any selection that includes a zero pocket.
Special rules such as La Partage can change settlement when zero appears. Do not assume those rules apply unless the game explicitly includes them.
Common Points of Confusion
- Read the final result. Match the round identifier and recorded number if the display updates quickly.
- Check the selection boundary. A number cell, a shared line and an intersection can describe different groups.
- Separate wheel order from table order. Neighbouring pockets around the wheel are not necessarily adjacent in the grid.
- Treat history as a record. For independent spins, a run of one colour does not make the other colour due next.
Reading Roulette on Mobile
Keep the number display and round status visible when following a spin. If a connection interruption hides the result, use the recorded round information rather than guessing from the animation.

Roulette Frequently Asked Questions
How many pockets are on a roulette wheel?
The standard European format has 37. The standard American double-zero format has 38. Other variants exist, so check the actual wheel.
Does zero count as Even?
Not for the roulette Even selection. That group covers even numbers from 2 through 36.
Are 0 and 00 the same result?
No. They are separate pockets on a double-zero wheel.
What is the difference between a dozen and a column?
A dozen covers a consecutive block: 1–12, 13–24 or 25–36. A column covers twelve numbers spaced three apart on the standard layout.
Can previous spins guarantee the next result?
No. A history display does not provide a guaranteed prediction. Under independent spins, past outcomes do not alter the next spin's probabilities.
Where can I check exact payouts?
Open the rules or paytable inside the game. This guide does not assign unverified payout rates or a specific wheel variant to Indslots.
